truncate table taking lot of time

Hello Professionals,

                               I'm trying to truncate a table but it is taking lot of time. Even when I try to do Select top 1* from tableX it is taking more time and still executing from 30 min.

I dont know why is this happening.But I have a doubt like there is a problem with indexes. If it is correct, how to see whether indexes in that table are disabled or enable.

syntax please. And also let me know I need to disable or enable indexes to truncate faster.
