Sql server 2008 result displays wrong date format.

hi all,

I am connecting SQL Server 2005 from remote computer, and my PC has SQL Server 2008 Installed. on Server when i open the table the date format is correct that is dd/MM/yyyy

but when i open it in client using sql server 2008, my date format changes to yyyy/MM/dd.

why it is?

i am using Windows 7 professional and my regional settings also set to short date format dd/MM/yyyy. and Language Englih United States.

I want the result set return into dd/MM/yyyy format

please help.
