insert into table

hi

i have result ser like this

ID    member     program date

1         23             4             05/10/2010

1         23             4             05/12/2012

2         23             4             03/04/2013

2         23             4              04/05/203

so basically i need to insert 1 row in another table from this output.

whichever have maximum id (in this case 2) and of that id min date (in this case 03/04/2013) ,thats only row i need to insert

how to do it?
